Are you concerned about your child's screen-time?

If so, HHSD encourages you to join our Community Book Club for Hatboro-Horsham families and staff!

This year, the club will be discussing acclaimed book "The Anxious Generation" by social psychologist Jonathan Haidt: a book which attempts to understand how the rapid rise of smartphones and social media has changed childhood and adolescence.

HHSD Community Book Club hopes that discussing "The Anxious Generation" could allow parents and educators engage in meaningful conversations about how to support young people's wellbeing in an increasingly digital world.

We will begin meeting virtually and in person from 5:30PM to 6:30PM at Hallowell Elementary School beginning Tuesday, October 6, 2026. Every club member will receive their own complimentary copy of the book.

Starting this schoolyear, ParentSquare is now the primary tool for Hatboro-Horsham School District communications. This morning, Parents received a formal introduction to ParentSquare via email.

ParentSquare allows users to receive secure notifications through email, text, phone calls, and/or the ParentSquare app which can be translated into your language of choice.

On ParentSquare, expect to receive messages from teachers, updates from clubs, district information, and urgent notifications. Classes and groups will become visible in the app on Monday, August 24th.

Parents can register their ParentSquare account by logging into the app/website using the primary email or phone number which they use to sign into PowerSchool. Without registering an account, parents will continue to receive district messages and emergency information through email, text, and phone calls.

This morning, PowerSchool Parent Portal will become accessible for the 26/27 school-year.

The site goes live for parents of elementary students at 9AM and it goes live for parents of middle/high school students at 11AM.

Announcement: Prior to our upcoming Board Meeting, the BoardBook website will undergo scheduled maintenance over the weekend beginning Friday, August 14th at 11PM EST and lasting through Sunday, August 16th.

During this time, users may experience slower-than-normal performance and some attachments may be temporarily unavailable when attempting to access the Board Meeting agenda.
