Saint Mary Our Mother School We are committed to providing an excellent elementary education, from Pre-K through grade six.

We provide small classes with dedicated teachers who help to guide students spiritually, academically and morally. Founded in 1959 as an educational ministry of the parish of Saint Mary Our Mother, our school warmly welcomes children of all faiths, throughout the Twin Tiers, to be part of our school family.

Parent Information Night is TONIGHT!

Weโ€™re looking forward to welcoming our SMOMS parents this evening for Parent Information Night!

There will be two identical sessions offered:
๐Ÿ•• 6:15โ€“7:00 PM
๐Ÿ•– 7:15โ€“8:00 PM

The sessions will cover the same information, so there is no need to attend both. Please choose whichever time works best for your family!

This is a parents-only event. We ask that students stay home so our teachers can focus on sharing important information and connecting with parents.

PreK 4 is off to a great start!

Our PreK 4 friends are busy learning the routines and expectations of their classroom and getting comfortable with their new school day. From following directions and making new friends to learning how to be part of a classroom community, there is so much growing happening already!

Our Third Day in Third Grade!

It was another great week in third grade! The students jumped right into learning and enjoyed some fun activities with Mrs. Langendorfer, who was their teacher last year in second grade. It was so special to see her welcome them back and continue building on the relationships she formed with them last year.

We were so happy to welcome our Superintendent, Mr. Arvizzigno, to St. Mary Our Mother School on the first day of school! He stopped in to see our students and staff and help us celebrate the start of a new school year.

We are so excited about our new sign at the front entrance of St. Mary Our Mother School! Itโ€™s a beautiful way to welcome our students, families, and visitors as they come into our school each day.

In August, St. Mary Our Mother School partnered with one of Corning Incorporatedโ€™s employee resource groups for a back-to-school donation drive and with it came much success!


Thanks to the generous support of the Corning Family Support Network, chaired by Katelyn McDermott, St. Mary Our Mother School received the tools and supplies needed to help our students learn, grow, and thrive this academic school year.

We also want to extend a special thank you to Mrs. McDermott, a St. Mary Our Mother School parent, for her help in making this donation possible and for thinking of our school and students. We are so grateful for her support!

What a wonderful first day at St. Mary Our Mother School!

We loved seeing our halls filled with smiling faces, happy reunions, and the excitement of a new school year! Our students jumped right back into learning, growing, and being part of our school family.

A huge thank you to our teachers and staff for all of the love, care, and preparation that went into making today such a great start to the year. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful school community!
