These sweet students have been a blessing! I will miss them so much!

Today we celebrated the SAA graduating class of 2019. Alex, Bella, Bryson, Nicholas, Pasquale, and Shannon were honored along with their parents and teachers at a luncheon and ceremony. This class is special in many ways... most importantly because they were the first Kindergarten class at St. Ann's Academy when we opened our doors in 2012. Three of the students have been here with us since that very first day! After a wonderful luncheon at The Main Place, a ceremony was held at the United Presbyterian Church where the students delivered their graduation speeches and then received awards presented by Sister Dolores Ann Stein. The American Citizenship Award for outstanding character and leadership was given to Shannon, Pasquale, and Alex. The Presidential Award for Academic Excellence was awarded to Bella, Bryson, and Nicholas for having a cumulative average above 90% as well as high achievement on nationally normed reading and mathematics examinations. We congratulate all our graduates and wish them well as they move onto junior high school. Many thanks to all the teachers and staff members who made today truly special for our students and their families.

We are still disappointed that not all the local school age kids were able to come to a Kid's Day game because of the weather or their school schedule. For the four games left in June come to the game on us! Bring this ticket in to get in free!

HOW TO PROPERLY DISPLAY OLD GLORY

In honor of Flag Day students grades 3/4 created a video on How to Properly Display Old Glory!

Earlier this spring grades 3/4 were little entrepreneurs. They created a product using paper, a commercial and sold their products to the k-2nd graders. They had fun then reflected on what they would change (price, supply, product, commercial) depending on how their product sold. (Credit TpT).

Kindergarten has been learning about force and motion in science class. Today Mrs. Bradley's 5th and 6th graders helped make marble paintings using marbles, paint and simple machines (inclined planes).

PreK3 had a wonderful time cheering on the Hornell Dodgers today at Kids' Day. What a fun time at the ballpark!

Pre K four studied pets this week! We had some pets come in for a visit and went to see the secret life of pets 2 at the hornell movie theatre!

1st and 2nd grade had a great week popping countdown to summer vacation balloons. On Monday the students wore sunglasses. On Tuesday the students wrote kind messages to people walking. They also saw a flying house! On Wednesday they ate donuts. On Thursday they went to the Erie Depot Museum. Today they got a treat, CANDY!
