Color wars for our last day of summer band practice! Thank you to the parents who trusted me with your kids to get a jump start on this years marching season! These kids have put in a lot of hard work and I’m excited to pick back up when school starts!

To the students planning to attend our last day for high school band summer practice and parents who were able to make it to out for the parent meeting,

Due to the power being out in town and at the school, I am going to go ahead and cancel our practice and meeting today. I apologize for the late notice, I had just made it to the school myself to see. Please be safe and hopefully the power comes back on soon! I will send out a different day about having a parent/ booster meeting to get the ball rolling for the school year, so be on the lookout!

Good job to the students who have put in a lot of hard work this week during practice, they have been doing an amazing job! Get some rest and enjoy the rest of summer!

Hey everybody, since we are about to kickoff the year, I wanted to give everyone a chance to come and meet me before we dive into the season! Come by the band hall from 4:30 to 5:30 this Thursday to cool off with an ice cream social event! I’m hoping to see as many faces as I can before we start this season! This will be an exciting school year and I’m ready to get started!

Parents,
Don’t forget we are having a parent meeting starting at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 1st! This is open to all parents that has a student in band! We will showcase our marching band show music to demonstrate the work that was put in throughout the week, go over expectations for the year, the band handbook, potential dates for performances and football games for the year, and open the floor for any questions, comments, and/or concerns. I would also like to have a brief meeting with any parents currently on the booster organization or any parents interested in participating in the booster organization!

Summer band is coming up soon!!
Don’t forget that we are more than a week away from our first summer practice on the 20th for just Juniors and Seniors with our drum major and the 21st for only freshman and sophomores with our drum major!
We are more than 2 weeks away from our full band (9th-12th grade) practice starting on Monday the 27th!
Start drinking water and getting some time outside! Help spread the word so every student is on board! Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help prepare for these practices! Let’s get it going!!

Mark your calendars for these upcoming dates for summer band practice, followed by a parent meet and greet after the last summer practice. Monday the 27th- Friday the 31st will be themed days, so make sure you show out for these spirit days as well. There will be prizes for the section with the most spirit! We will have a short practice August the 1st, followed by a parent meeting to show what we have worked on all week and talk about the upcoming school year and dates! Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns! I am looking forward to an amazing school year!
