🏈 **CALLING 3RD–6TH GRADE LIONS!** 🐗❤️

Horatio Elementary has an incredible opportunity to send 25 students in Grades 3–6 to Fayetteville to attend their FIRST Razorback football game and be a BurlsKid!

For the students selected, we want this to be an experience they will remember for a lifetime!
To be considered, students must:

🐗 Be in Grades 3–6
🏈 Have never attended a Razorback football game ( Burlsworth Foundation Requirement)
📝 Complete the essay portion in class about hard work, humility, and doing the right thing, "the Burls way"
⭐ Have no major office referrals during August and September
🏫 Have 90% attendance through the month of September

Complete and return the student application with parent signature by this FRIDAY!

We want our students to take ownership of this opportunity, so ask your Lion if they brought their application home and encourage them to have a conversation about it!

Only **25 students** will get to represent HES, and we cannot wait to see which Lions will be calling the Hogs in Fayetteville! 🐗🏈

What a GREAT first day back at Horatio Elementary!

The 2026–2027 school year is officially underway, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start! Our halls were once again filled with smiling faces, lots of excitement, and students and staff ready for a great year.

Thank you to our families, teachers, and staff for helping make our first day such a success. We are so excited to see what this year brings!

⚠️IMPORTANT MORNING DROP-OFF & PICK-UP INFORMATION⚠️

HES Families, please take a moment to review our drop-off and pick-up procedures. These procedures are in place for one very important reason: to keep our students safe.

Morning drop-off begins at 7:25 AM. Please do not drop students off before 7:25. This time ensures that an adult or school staff member is present to receive your child and safely get them where they need to go. Students should never be dropped off on campus without a staff member present to receive them.

ALL vehicles must enter the drop-off line from Isbell. Please DO NOT use any other entrance. Keeping all traffic moving along the designated route allows our staff to safely manage cars, buses, walkers, and students.

K-6 car riders will be dropped off at the split awning beside the cafeteria.
Pre-K students will be dropped off at the Gym Awning.

Car traffic may be temporarily stopped to allow buses and walkers to safely enter campus. Please be patient and follow the directions of staff members.

NO PHONE USAGE WILL BE TOLERATED DURING DROP-OFF OR PICK-UP.

Afternoon car rider pick-up will be at the Gym Awning.

We know the first few days may take a little extra time as everyone gets back into the routine. Please be patient, follow the designated route, and pay close attention to staff directions. Our priority is getting every student into and out of school safely.

We would like to thank a very special group of ladies for ensuring all of our kids get to start off the year looking sharp with FREE haircuts!!
