Congress season is underway! With our first tournament coming up, we want to introduce our wonderful captains for the ‘26 season!
Nikky is a sophomore at HHS who’s been in Congress for 3 years! Her favorite memory is overnight trips with the team. Outside of Congress she does debate, speech, orchestra, Hawk Reps, and taekwondo. The advice she’d give to novices is “You’re more nervous then you look. Out of the room of 20+ people, less than 1% will notice.”
Mina is a junior at HHS who’s been in congress for three years! Her favorite memory from Congress was the Lakeville Lucy Duck tournament in Minnesota. Outside of Congress she does FCCLA, broadcasting, debate, and speech. Her advice to novices is “Getting up and speaking is easier and more rewarding than staying and sitting.”
Lucy is a junior at HHS and is in her 5th year of congress! Her favorite Congress memory was 2025 September congress. Outside of Congress Lucy is involved in theatre, choir, student council, hawk reps, masa, debate, speech, and the Learner Advisory board. Her advice to novices is “keep standing if you can speak.”
