We are excited to announce that our spotlight student Olivia Sward will be attending UC Berkeley pursuing a society and environment major. Olivia's advice to rising seniors is “ to find multiple "safety schools" that you would be truly excited to attend early on in your college search process. College admissions can be stressful and very unpredictable, especially these past few years. For me, having these schools on my list made the decisions from my target and reach schools much less stressful, and it helps to ensure at the end of the day, you will have college options that you are very happy with.” Congrats Olivia, we are so proud and lucky to have had the chance to work with you.

We are excited to announce that our spotlight student, Carol Oh will be attending the University of Wisconsin pursuing a physics major. Congrats Carol, we are so proud and very lucky we had the chance to work with you! Read below to hear about Carol’s college application process and advice she has for rising seniors.

“When I began the search for a college, I was very overwhelmed and scared. My fear of failure was so great that I was apprehensive about even starting a college application essay. As you move into this new chapter of your life it requires you to not only face the fear of the future but also accept the past. You have the knowledge and strength to put yourself out into the world and Education Station is here to guide you. They give you room to grow on your own but always have a hand out to help if you need it. Please listen to their advice and don’t be afraid to ask questions. So, of all the advice that I could give here are the two things you should keep in mind as you begin your senior year. Believe and trust yourself but don’t be afraid to ask for and use the resources available to you. Remember, no school or program would ask you to be a student of theirs if they believed that you would fail.”

Bridget’s advice to rising seniors is to “stay patient throughout the college admissions process.
