Hopkinton Community Summer Band

Hopkinton Community Summer Band A community concert band open to past and current musicians in the greater Hopkinton, Massachusetts area. Come see what we are all about!

Started in 2005 by Hopkinton High School Band Director Steven T. Yavarow, in conjunction with the Hopkinton Music Association, the Hopkinton Community Summer Band is the perfect opportunity for musicians young and old to dust off their instruments and perform in the summer. Rehearsals are once a week, and the musical selections are fun and lighthearted. A concert at the common at the end of the program is a great way to bring the entire community together.

The HCSB is almost ready for their Concert on the Common on July 19th at 5 pm. We are still looking for two trombonists to cover the 2nd and 3rd book. If you are available, please contact Craig Hay at [email protected] for details.

We had a great first rehearsal. We are looking forward to next Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 to try some oldies but goodies and a new ending to our EWF medley (Thank you to two of our members who brought in an additional tune). We can always use more trombones if you know anyone you would like to invite to come.
