Grace School was founded in 1956 and is the oldest parochial kindergarten in the city of Hopkinsville. We offer morning classes for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds with a maximum class size of about 8 students. The Board of Directors consists of members of the parish, and the school is under the spiritual direction of the Rector (Head Pastor) of Grace Episcopal Church. While this is an Episcopal School, all

children of various denominations, races, and ethnic groups are enrolled. It is hoped that, through the environment and experience in this school, children will be helped in the formation of Christian attitudes and values which will guide them throughout their lives.

What a busy, fun week we have had at Grace! Yesterday we had a Leaf Hunt. We tried to find various colors and sizes of leaves and finished the hunt at home for any colors we couldnā€™t find at Grace.
Today we had a fun ending to our study of the letter /P/ with a Pajama, Pumkin and Popcorn Day. We wore our pajamas to school, carved a pumpkin and counted the seeds. Some were even brave enough to touch the ā€œgookā€ on the inside of the pumpkin!
We guessed whether certain items would sink or float and were surprised that the big pumpkin would float! We painted little pumpkins and enjoyed some yummy pumpkin flavored treats!

What a great week we had! Mr. Tom joined us for music time on Tuesday. Then a fun trip to the pumpkin patch today!!

Thank you to Mr. Joey Renshaw and the Christian County Literacy Committee for including us again this year in the ā€œReal Men Readā€ program. Mr. Renshaw read a book and gifted us the book for our classroom library!
