Also, congratulations to our Treble and General Choirs on receiving proficient performance ratings and distinguished ratings on their sightreading.

It is that time of year again! If you are looking to get involved in a musical, then consider this.

MISSOULA CHILDRENS THEATRE AUDITIONS: Monday January 24th, 2022 at 4 PM at Indian Hills Elementary School!

Auditions are open to local children currently enrolled in grades K - 12. There are a limited number of roles per age group - auditioning DOES NOT guarantee your child a role in the production. If they aren't interested in the acting side, we also need 4 kids to step in as "Assistant Directors" to help with behind the scenes stuff on stage.

Students who are chosen to participate are expected to stay for practice after the auditions, and be available for practice in the afternoons daily for the entire week of January 24th - January 29th, 2022.

Missoula Children's Theatre: Rumpelstiltskin

The Missoula Children’s Theatre presents RUMPELSTILTSKIN, an original adaptation of the classic children's story. A strange little gnome appears from here, there and everywhere. He will spin your straw into gold...for a price. If his price is too steep, you must guess his name...RUMPELSTILTSKIN! Join in the fun of Festival Time and help Clara guess the mischievous little gnome's name. You will also encounter a Jester, Villagers, Wizards, a Queen, a King, Knights and a band of busy little Bees. This heart-warming tale of mischief and friendship answers more questions than just "What is that little man's name?”

CCHS Students, Levi Mitchell, Aaron Cushenberry, Donari Merritt, Josh Owen, Kyler Hawkins, Landon Boyd, and Laythan Hollimon have been selected to perform in the Kentucky Music Educators Association All-State Chorus.
The concert will take place at the Kentucky Center in Louisville, Friday, February 4th, 2022 as part of the 2022 Kentucky Music Educators Association Professional Development Conference. These students were chosen for the honor in competitive auditions held this year across the state. This is one of the highest individual honors choral students can earn.
All seven singers are students at Christian County High School and perform in the choir under the direction of Benjamin Stephens, a member of the Kentucky Music Educators Association, an association that represents over 2,000 school music educators in Kentucky. All of these students have also taken private voice lessons with Mr. Stephens. Several of these students are also involved in the CCHS band program.
Tickets for the 2022 All-State Chorus concert will go on sale in December. Parents and friends wishing to attend the concert must purchase tickets directly from the Kentucky Center Ticket Office. All-State Chorus Tickets may be ordered on-line at www.kentuckycenter.org or by calling 1-800-775-7777. All tickets are $10.00 plus handling fees (fees: $6 per ticket, plus $4.55 per order).

Congratulations to our 24 students who auditioned for and were accepted into Murray State University's Quadstate Choir Festival! As usual, this was a wonderful event and the choir gave a fine performance last evening! Bravi tutti!
