The final Colonel Senior Walk was everything it should have been—filled with laughter, tears, hugs, and a deep sense of pride.

Our seniors returned to the places where their stories began, walking through the halls of CCHS, CCMS, and Freedom Elementary. Each hallway carried memories… first days, friendships, victories, growing pains, and moments that helped shape who they are today.

There was something special about watching our seniors become little kids again for just a few moments—waving at students, reconnecting with teachers, and realizing just how far they’ve come.

As the final graduating class of Christian County High School, this walk felt bigger than tradition. It was a celebration of 67 years of Colonel legacy and a reminder that while buildings and mascots may change, the people and memories remain.

To the Class of 2026—thank you for carrying this legacy with pride and showing us what it means to save the best for last.

📣✨ **The Final Golden Stapler of the Colonel Era** ✨📣

Some staplers hold papers together 📎… but this final recipient held together **generations of Colonels**. ❤️💙

As we close the doors on **67 years of Christian County High School** and celebrate **One Last Time – For All Time**, it is only fitting that the **final Golden Stapler Award of the Colonel Era** goes to a true Colonel legend…

👏 **Ms. Eva Martin** 👏

For **more than three decades**, Ms. Martin has poured her heart into this school and made an impact that reaches far beyond classrooms and hallways. She has helped shape students, supported colleagues, and left fingerprints on a legacy that simply cannot be measured.

Her career has been defined by service, consistency, and a commitment to making CCHS better each and every day. Through changing times, changing faces, and changing generations of students, she remained what every great school needs — steady, caring, and all in. 🌟

Legends do not leave places… they become part of them. And long after the final bell rings at Christian County High School, Ms. Martin’s impact will remain in the walls, traditions, stories, and people she helped shape.

Ms. Martin — thank you for being a Colonel for over 30 years. Thank you for your dedication. Thank you for your legacy. And thank you for helping hold this place together, one staple at a time. ❤️📎

Congratulations on your retirement and on being the **final Golden Stapler recipient of the Colonel Era.**

Congratulations to Coach Livingston Merritt, our extraordinary ISS Monitor, and this week’s Golden Stapler Award recipient! 🌟

Coach Merritt is truly a member of the Colonel Family. Day in and day out, he works to keep students safe, accountable, and on track — all while building relationships and showing students that someone cares about them.

It takes a special person to balance firmness with heart, and Coach Merritt does exactly that. Whether he’s redirecting students, helping maintain order, or simply being a steady presence in the building, he plays an essential role in making CCHS a place where students can learn and grow.

Thank you, Coach Merritt, for all you do to keep our students in line, safe, and supported. CCHS is stronger because of your commitment and care! ❤️
