Today’s Fusion Friday was a great way to learn and connect before KSA testing! Mrs. Woods led an engaging lesson on DNA, and our students were fully invested—asking thoughtful questions, making connections, and enjoying the experience together. We’re proud of their curiosity and focus as we head into testing week!

2️⃣ If you signed up to reach out to local businesses, please return that information and/or make those final contacts for the best success!

3️⃣ MAY’S MEETING: we have had several people reach out that Thursdays didn’t work best for them. What is a night that works best for you? We will look at each suggestion and try to make a plan for one extra meeting to make sure all volunteers are able to come and celebrate with the graduate.

Come join us as we finish and plan for PROJECT GRADUATION 2026 tonight at 6!

🔔‼️ due to many of our committee members reaching out that they will not be able to attend this week’s meeting, we have made the decision to postpone this week’s meeting to the week following spring break.

We hope each family enjoys their spring break and we will resume our meetings on April 16th.

Please be prepared for this meeting to pay for your T-shirt and information from each person’s business contact. 🥳

We are excited to welcome students and staff back to our campuses for in-person learning, tomorrow Monday, Feb 9.
It’s been a long two weeks and we can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow on regular schedule!

Our VLA students are supported, encouraged, and guided because of the incredible work of Mrs. Lisa Wooten. During School Counselors Week, we want to take a moment to recognize her dedication to meeting students where they are and helping them navigate both academic and personal challenges.

Mrs. Wooten serves as a trusted advocate for our students and families, ensuring every learner feels heard, valued, and supported. We are grateful for the compassion, consistency, and care she brings to our VLA community each day.

All 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM Google Meets will be cancelled for VLA students.

Due to road conditions in North Christian affecting our area this morning, Christian County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay today, Wednesday, January 21, to ensure the safety of our buses and students.
There will be no breakfast served, and preschool is canceled for the day. Inspire Early Learning Center will operate on a normal schedule.
Again, a two-hour delay means buses and schools will operate two hours later than their regular schedules.

Today’s Focus for Friday Fusion

In observance of the upcoming Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, students engaged in an analysis of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech, exploring historical context and identifying powerful examples of figurative language. During the second half of the day, students collaborated with the Boys and Girls Club staff to creatively express their learning through comic art, blending literacy, history, and visual storytelling.

This balance of critical thinking and creative expression made for a meaningful and engaging Friday Fusion experience.
