Thank you sweet family for entrusting us with the honor of educating you and gifting us your beautiful story!

Hi Liz,
Writing to thank you for the priceless gift of knowledge and preparedness as we welcomed our baby boy into the world.
Viggo Robert was born on March 30th at 4:20AM weighing 9 pounds, 6 ounces and measuring 21.5 inches long. An extra 10 days beyond his “guess date” was worth the “weight” ;), as he is eating and sleeping wonderfully.
Labor and birth was not necessarily as we expected but the outcome was everything we hoped. Early and active labor went fast, while the pushing took longer than I had hoped. Nevertheless, we experienced a beautiful, unmedicated hospital water birth at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury. We were able to achieve 22/27 of our wishes from the “ideal birth game” that we did in class - we easily got our “top three” of spontaneous labor, vaginal delivery, and immediate skin to skin for the first 2 hours.

Eating and drinking in labor. It’s a choice and an advocation point you’ll encounter birthing in any US hospital. Know your options, advocate and make the choice that’s best for you. Check out our stories for links to research
It’s and we want to thank our educators and doulas who do the hard work of teaching, educating, and guiding our students. I’m sure these baby faces could never have imagined the number of lives they would touch one day with their hearts and hands.
Thank a this week!
