Hopkins Receives 100% for School Bus Safety
School bus fleets are subject to annual inspections by the Michigan State Police. Getting a 100% pass rate means our fleet is up to the highest standards of safety for students and Drivers. Congratulations to the Mechanic and Drivers for their diligence in achieving this Certificate of Excellence 100% pass rate again this year.

Hopkins Public Schools will be receiving Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds (ESSER) to address learning recovery from the impact of COVID-19. These funds are designated for one-time or short-term expenditures to address the ongoing impact of the pandemic. The Administration of HPS is seeking community stakeholder feedback to help determine how the district should best utilize these resources to address unfinished learning, ongoing COVID-19 recovery, and the Federal Program grant funds. Please let us know your opinions by completing this brief survey by November 10, 2021. Thank you for the feedback!

The Hopkins Public School District has been serving the Hopkins-Dorr community since 1884. Serving a student population of approximately 1550, the district offers two K-5 elementary schools, one 6th-8th grade middle school, and one 9th-12th grade high school, as well as a 0-5 year-old Welcoming Schools program. We encourage your participation on our page and ask that you exercise civility and good will in your communication. Any comments that are intentionally rude or deride the opinions of others will be removed. 22nd St, north of 130th Ave will be closing Monday (11-1) to replace a culvert under the road. The closure will last about 3 days, please seek alternate routes.

The Hopkins Robotics team is alive and well. Currently the Middle school teams are meeting and building their robots for in person competitions in December. The High School team will kick off their season in January 2022.

The Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative, a program of the Allegan County Community Foundation, is excited to kick off our 2nd Annual Soup Drive!

In these uncertain times, food insecurity is a grave concern. Our friends, neighbors, and family are in need. The Allegan County Food Pantry Collaborative 2nd Annual Soup Drive is an opportunity to help families through the upcoming months. Please donate today.

The Soup Drive runs from October 1 – October 31, 2021. Our goal is 10,000 cans of soup – this sets the stage for the sixteen members of the Collaborative to provide soup for families during the cold winter months.

Hopkins High School Receives Tanger Outlet- Kids Grant 2021.

The Level 2 Program at HHS has received a grant to assist in their Life Skills and Small Business learning. This grant will fund an additional oven they can use to produce and sell baked goods. Principal Ken Szczepanski attended a small ceremony and received the check on Wednesday 9/1.
