It’s with heavy hearts that we share this post today.
We learned the tragic news that at some time in the middle of the night on August 5th, Pastor Kyle Montgomery passed away from what we are believing to be heart related issues. As a church staff, family and community we are without words, shocked, and are processing this loss together in real time. We are leaning on prayer and one another as we seek the hope and peace that only Jesus can provide. Words can’t begin to describe what an amazing pastor, leader, servant of the house we’ve lost. He was a loving husband, father, and friend. Not only did he faithfully serve our church for over a decade, but he faithfully served his country for 21 years.
At this time, we ask for grace and love to be extended towards the Montgomery family and to give them the space and time needed to grieve and process in their way. Pastor Kyle was such a huge part of our church family, and we will have information coming soon about next steps on how we can best serve one another and everyone impacted by this loss, through remembrance and service.
As a church family, let’s come together this Sunday, to worship, pray, and be the community that Jesus gave His life for. We want to honor his life, legacy, and his ultimate heart- to see people discover his Lord and Savior, finding their Destination in Christ. More than anything, we need to unite as a church family as we share our grief, testimonies, and stories of how his life impacted many of us.
Psalm 34:18 reminds us that God draws near to the broken hearted. And 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14 reminds us that we don’t grieve as those who have no hope, but knowing that those who pass from this life will be raised again with Christ.
