It is with heavy hearts that Garrett Memorial Christian School shares the passing of our beloved third-grade teacher, Mrs. Nadine Ridings, who went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
Mrs. Ridings recently completed her tenth year of teaching at Garrett Memorial Christian School after moving to Arkansas from California. Throughout her life, she faithfully served the Lord as a Christian educator, church musician, Sunday School teacher, and devoted pastor’s wife to her favorite pastor, Bro. Glenn Ridings.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Bro. Glenn, their three sons, and their families, who were the joy of her life.
Mrs. Ridings was a blessing to everyone she met. Her infectious laugh and radiant smile could brighten even the darkest room, and every student who walked through her classroom knew they were deeply loved. She had a special gift for making children feel seen, valued, and encouraged, while pointing them to the love of Christ through both her words and her example.
Garrett Memorial Christian School will not be the same without her. Her legacy of faith, kindness, joy, and unwavering love for children will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched. While our hearts grieve her absence, we rejoice in the promise that she is now in the presence of her Savior, hearing the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Please join us in praying for Bro. Glenn, their sons, grandchildren, and the entire Ridings family during this difficult time. We also ask that you keep the GMCS family—especially Mrs. Ridings’ students and fellow teachers—in your prayers as we mourn the loss of a cherished friend, teacher, and sister in Christ.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18
