The 4-H Food Plot Project is an independent self-study project in which youth learn to prepare, establish, maintain, and observe a wildlife food plot using provided seed. Participants work with their local county Extension agents for assistance with project activities, such as finding a site if they don't have one, collecting and interpreting soil tests, and ideas and opportunities for communicating project outcomes.

Those who compete for recognition submit their project book and a video, which includes a site visit by a local county Extension agent. District winners and a statewide Top Junior (ages 8-13) and Top Senior (ages 14-19) are recognized at District O-Ramas. Eagle Seed is the sponsor for this project. Register in ZSuite. Deadline is September 1st.

Want to be a 4-H Shooting Sports Coach?🎯We are looking for volunteers to complete the Instructor Certification Training to be held on September 12, 2026, at the Arkansas 4-H Center. Registration is now open in Zsuite!🍀

Registration: $75 (In-person portion) + $20 (online portion)
Date: Saturday, September 12th
Time: 8am-5pm
Location: Arkansas 4-H Center, 1 Four H Way, Little Rock

Certification available for: Archery, Rifle, and Shotgun

All participants must be approved 4-H volunteers and complete the required Arkansas 4-H volunteer screening and enrollment process prior to training. This process includes: ZSuite volunteer enrollment, volunteer background screening, mandated reporter training, and county volunteer approval (in Zsuite).✅

Thanks to Aftyn and her mom for coming and handing out free hats at Tractor Supply this morning! Tractor Supply is a big supporter of 4-H. Their Paper Clover campaign will be coming up soon plus they offer 4-H animal ornaments at Christmas time.

The Hope Tractor Supply Store at 1301 N. Hervey, Suite D, is now open! They have asked our 4-H members to join them on their big day, Saturday, Aug. 15th at 8 a.m., to hand out water and swag to guests. They are big supporters of National 4-H with campaigns such as the Paper Clover Drive, raising millions of dollars for youth education, and their support will benefit us at the local level. If you'd like to participate in the grand opening, dress in your 4-H shirt and come on out.
