Charles Jester

Charles Glenn Jester, age 66, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on April 15, 2026, in Texarkana.

Mr. Jester was born on June 9, 1959, in Lewisville, Arkansas to his parents Charles and Modena Parks Jester. He was an avid Arkansas Razorback Fan and he loved hunting.

Mr. Jester is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Becky Jester; one son, Charles Andrew Jester of Texarkana, Arkansas; and one brother, Scott Jester (Sandy).

Visitation will be held 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home with Dr. Phil McClarty officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home.

Dad has had a major setback and is currently on a ventilator in the ICU. We are placing him completely in God’s hands and trusting Him with every moment ahead.

Please pray earnestly for healing for Dad, strength and peace for Mom, and wisdom and steady hands for the medical team caring for him. We are grateful for every prayer and the comfort they bring.🤍

Doreen Ann Nichols, 67, of Missouri City, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026. She was born in Hope, Arkansas, to Elmer Smith and Helen Powell.

Doreen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family and the kindness she showed to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Doreen is survived by her husband of 28 years, Lynn Nichols; children, Jamie McKeown and husband, Ron, Beth Phillips and significant other, Christian Fisher, Tony Phillips and wife, Carley, and David Phillips and wife, Becky; grandchildren, Kaitlin Baggett, Ashlyn Baggett, Madison Baggett, Dyson Sonnier, Jocelyn Fisher, Kayleigh McKeown, Abby McKeown, Brooke McKeown, Scarlett Anderson, Sophia Phillips, and Elijah Rodriguez; sister, Teena Smith; lifelong friend, Athena Ferrell; in-laws, Vickie Mills and husband, Monty, Charlie Nichols and wife, Wendy, and Tina Fagen and husband, Wayne; and nieces and nephews, John Porter and wife, Christy, Michael Porter and wife, Kristin, Josh Porter and wife, Deidra, Amber Everett and husband, Jason, and Tara Landry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Smith and Helen Powell; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Vestie Powell; and paternal grandparents, Albert and Cora Smith.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.

A gathering of Mrs. Nichols’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4330 Crow Road, Beaumont. Her entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.

Dwight was a very simple man, he was a welder most of his adult life and built many different stainless steel structures in the Fab Shop at Tysons for quite a few years. As a hobby he enjoyed riding his Harley with Carlia and seeing the countryside, building many BBQ Pits/Smokers, sitting in a deer stand, sitting on the back porch relaxing, growing many things (he did have quite a green thumb) but most of all spending time with what mattered most, his family. Family time was his best time, he loved his family very much. Dwight was a very quiet man, but when he had something to say, he definitely got your attention, either through an action, or his loud voice. He spoke words of wisdom, and if you wanted his opinion, he surely gave it to you in a very honest way, he wasn’t called Reverand for nothing, when he got on a subject he wouldn’t ever stop till he felt he was finished, or he got his point across. Dwight wasn’t the “mushy” type person, but he showed love in different ways only a person that truly knew him would know, for example, “Call me when you get home, so I know you made it!”. He lived each day with Hope and Faith because he knew it was a gift and lived each day to the fullest and to the best of his ability. Dwight was a wonderful provider, he’d do anything to take care of his family, even if it meant he’d have to walk through fire. Dwight had a lot of strength and courage. He loved his wife and best friend, Carlia, very much, his two sons Bobby and Brad, last but not least, the apple of his eye, Brantli Jo, his granddaughter, which gave him so much inspiration each day.

Left to cherish his memory, wife, Carlia Stone of Fulton, AR; two sons, Bobby and wife Jennifer Stone of Mansfield, LA, and Brad Stone of Hope, AR; daughter, Alecia Stone of New York; one granddaughter, Brantli Jo Stone of Hope, AR; two grandsons, Kevin Wicks and Kohner Wicks of Hope, AR; his father, Kenneth Stone of Hope, AR: brothers, Dwayne and wife Belinda Stone of Patmos, AR, and Chris Stone of Hope, AR; sisters, Debbie Stone of Hope, AR,; aunt, Judy Stone of McCaskill. AR; sister-in-law, JoAnn Dease; and numerous nieces and nephews, and other family members that Dwight held dear to him.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Stone of Hope, AR; daughter Terra Dyer of Indiana, IN; brother-in-law, Windle Dease; two uncles, Ross Stone of McCaskill, AR, and Mack Stone of Hope, AR; and numerous other family members, that Dwight held dear to him as well.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Funeral Home with Bro. Ernie Sorrells officiating.
