We’ve received a lot of questions about Latin for the upcoming school year, so we wanted to provide some clarification.

JAM with Latin is not creating the Common Latin curriculum for Classical Conversations. However, we are excited to share that we are developing new JAM Companion Tutor Classes designed to complement whatever curriculum Classical Conversations rolls out.

These brand-new classes will continue to feature the same short, easy-to-follow instructional videos you know and love, while teaching from the new textbook.

For this year, focus on the Challenge level you are at!

Remember: Latin is thousands of years old. Every concept, every vocabulary word, and every grammar lesson you learn this year is important and worth the time and effort. The foundation you’re building now matters, regardless of curriculum changes.

We’re looking forward to serving your families in this next chapter and will share more details as they become available!"

Educational Continuity and Parental Choice: Why MHA Supports the COMPASS

Military Homeschoolers Association is excited to partner with Military Child Education Coalition and HSLDA in support of the .

We appreciate the leadership of Senator Ted Cruz, Senator Ted Budd, Senator Ashley Moody, and Congressman Pat Harrigan in championing this legislation.

Each time a military family receives orders, the planning begins. For homeschool families, that often includes the stress of navigating new state homeschool laws and determining what is required to remain compliant. For years, military homeschool families have asked for the option to follow the homeschool laws of their State of Legal Residence, regardless of where military orders take them.

The COMPASS Act would provide that option. At the same time, it preserves choice by allowing families who prefer to follow the homeschool laws of the state where they physically reside to do so.

By reducing uncertainty during PCS moves, the COMPASS Act helps families focus on educating their children rather than navigating conflicting state requirements. This practical solution recognizes the unique realities of military life while respecting parental choice in education.
