*If you reside within the GCES District and will have a rising Kindergarten student for the upcoming school year, please join us for our Countdown To Kindergarten Orientation Night on Thursday, April 23rd. We will conduct Orientation Sessions from 430-500, 500-530, 530-600, and 600-630.
*Staff will be on-site to help with beginning the enrollment process for student. You may bring your enrollment documents with you. See the attached flyer for more details.

We've been recognized as a School of Distinction among North Carolina's Title I Schools! Of the 2700 Title I Schools in North Carolina, we are in the Top 10% of schools (1 of 20) who successfully closed achievement gaps between two of our subgroups. We now have a snazzy new banner to share this recognition with visitors to our building!
Please join us in taking a moment to celebrate the phenomenal work of our staff, students & of course each of you who supported your students at home! ICYMI: Our school improved our NC School Report Card Grade with an increase of 4 points. We are now at a 75 for our School Performance Grade (B), and 71% of our students in Grades 3-5 demonstrated proficiency on last year's EOG Assessments. We are proud to acknowledge that we also met academic growth for the '24-'25 school year! Let's continue our forward trajectory and strive for an even higher rate of proficiency, and growth for ALL of our students this school year. Way to go, Team GCES!
