🌱🌼Pintlala Elementary Open House🌼🌱

What a wonderful evening at Pintlala Elementary School! We were so excited to welcome our families back to campus for Open House!

Our families had the opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms, learn about classroom expectations and goals, and hear more about how we partner together to support student success. 📚✨

A special part of the evening was hearing from Principal Deese, who shared our previous year’s school data and celebrated the incredible progress our students and staff made! 🎉 Pintlala Elementary exceeded ALL of our schoolwide goals last year! This tremendous achievement is a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students, teachers, staff, and families. 💚

Principal Deese also shared information about this year’s data, schoolwide goals, and our vision for continued growth. Together, we are focused on knowing where our students are, setting meaningful goals, and providing the support and instruction they need to continue growing and achieving at high levels.

Thank you to all of our families who joined us! We are so grateful for your partnership and excited for another year of growing, learning, and BLOOMING together!🌻

ROLLING INTO GROWTH!

Our Pintlala Elementary School team kicked off the year with a delicious treat and a BIG focus on our students!

During our beginning-of-the-year data meeting, we dug into our data, celebrated where we are, identified where we want to go, and most importantly, planned how we are going to ROLL into GROWTH together!

Just like our cinnamon rolls, we know that great things happen when the right ingredients come together—purpose, teamwork, intentional instruction, student effort, and a belief that every child can grow.

We are ready to roll up our sleeves, set meaningful goals, and help every student continue to BLOOM!🌻

Let’s ROLL into growth, Gators!🐊

🍿Just POPPING by to say… YOU’RE a DOUBLE GOOD teacher!🍿

Today, Mrs. Deese and Corporal Ivey had the best delivery route—stopping by classrooms to spread a little appreciation and hand out Double Good Popcorn to our amazing teachers and staff!

Our teachers give so much each and every day to help every child bloom, and we’re so thankful for all they do!🌻

Just a little popcorn + a whole lot of appreciation = a DOUBLE GOOD day at Pintlala Elementary!

We’re Growing in Reading & Math!

We are so proud to celebrate the growth happening at Pintlala Elementary School! 🎉 Our students have increased the percentage of students who are proficient in both reading and math, according to the 2026 ACAP data shared in this article — and that is something worth celebrating!

But what does proficient mean? 🤔

Proficiency means a student has demonstrated that they have the knowledge and skills expected for their grade level. It means they are showing they understand the important concepts and can apply what they have learned.

Behind every percentage is a student who worked hard, a teacher who believed, and a family who supported them.

This growth is a reflection of the dedication of our students and staff and our commitment to helping every child bloom.

We’re celebrating the progress—but we’re not stopping here! There is still more growing to do!💚💛

Alabama Daily News analyzed school-level ACAP results and found 78 schools where ELA proficiency increased by at least 10 percentage points.

Setting Goals & Growing Greatness!

Today, Principal Deese had the opportunity to meet with our Kindergarten-6th grade students for individual classroom data chats as we prepare for tomorrow’s iReady Beginning-of-Year Diagnostic Assessments!

We talked about doing our very best, taking our time, and using this first diagnostic to show us exactly where we are starting and where we can grow. We discussed the importance of feeling proud of ourselves and our classmates for focusing on these assessments and giving our best effort! We will hold our beginning of the year Data Meetings next week to disaggregate the data and build a plan for success.
