So proud of our teacher, Mary Elizabeth Sammis! 🤍

We are so proud of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Sammis (Prince of Peace Catholic School - Hoover, Al) for being selected as a founding member of National Catholic Educational Association (Official) (NCEA) Google Educator Group (GEG) Leaders for the 2026-2027 school year!

Mary Elizabeth was selected as one of 13 Catholic school educators from across the United States to participate in the Google AI Educator Series this summer and help lead innovative professional development opportunities throughout NCEA regions nationwide.

This recognition reflects her commitment to excellence, innovation, and the mission of Catholic education.

🩶🤍 Teacher Appreciation Week is almost over, and we’ve had so much fun celebrating our incredible teachers and staff at POP!

This week, we were able to treat our teachers to breakfast, lunch, duty-free lunch coverage, snacks, and a special Prince of Peace sweatshirt as a small token of our appreciation.

To our teachers and staff — we are so incredibly grateful for you.

Thank you for everything you do each and every day to love, guide, encourage, and care for our children. The love you pour into our school community does not go unnoticed, and we are filled with gratitude for each and every one of you! 🤍🩶

This past Sunday, our POP community gathered for a special student-led Mass honoring our incredible teachers and staff.

The Mass, led by Father Ray, included a special blessing for our teachers and staff. Students also served as greeters, ushers, gift-bearers, and readers, alongside our wonderful school choir.

It was a truly prayerful and joy-filled way to begin Teacher Appreciation Week, as our school and parish community came together in gratitude for the faculty and staff who give so much love, care, and dedication to our children each day.

A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us and helped make this celebration so special. We are so grateful for our amazing POP teachers and staff! 🩶

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Knights In on Friday at Gratitude Grove! 🩶 It was such a fun and wholesome evening filled with laughter, music, games, and time together as a school community.
We’re so grateful for the families who came out and made the night so special, and for Scotty Van Matre and Adam Guthrie for sharing their music with us. Events like this are such a sweet reminder of what makes POP feel like home. ✨
