Back-to-school decorations are coming down, and fall is slowly going up at CFA! We’re loving all the warm fall colors and sweet reminders of faith, gratitude, and family throughout our school. There’s still more decorating to come, but CFA is already feeling extra cozy for the season!

So thankful that we already focus on this at Christian Foundation Academy! Our students have been cooking, coding, and learning how to change a tire—and there is so much more ahead, including sewing, etiquette, CPR, and more!

We aren’t just preparing students academically—we’re preparing them to become responsible, capable adults who can confidently go out into the world. Teaching is about so much more than academics. It’s being their biggest cheerleader, creating a safe place, and showing kindness, love, and patience while teaching valuable lessons they may not learn in a traditional classroom.

We are beyond blessed with some of the very best students and families, and they make what we do so rewarding!

Several subjects should be mandatory in schools to equip students with essential life skills and knowledge.

I don’t think they could have chosen better words to describe what we’ve worked so hard to create at CFA.

What started with just a few families taking a chance on a little idea has grown into something I never could have imagined. And seeing our students on the cover, standing underneath that cross, makes it even more special.

So thankful for our families, teachers, Oakmont Chapel, and everyone who has believed in CFA—and most of all, thankful for the doors God continues to open.

Signs are officially going out! There’s just something special about seeing Christian Foundation Academy signs popping up in our students’ yards!

The 2026–2027 school year is almost here, and I am so excited to welcome our students back and begin another year of learning, growing, and building friendships together.

And just like that…another year at CFA is over. ❤️ This little school has become so much more than I ever imagined when it first started as just discussion amongst parents looking for other options.

Yes, I’ve watched students grow academically…but honestly the emotional and social growth has probably been even more special to witness. Confidence. Friendships. Kids feeling safe and understood. That matters too.
We may not be the biggest school. We may not have all the newest technology. We may not be the fanciest. But what we DO have is something special.

We have teachers that truly love teaching. They aren’t buried in constant meetings, checklists, micromanaging, and unrealistic expectations. They get to TEACH. They get to build relationships with students. They get to love what they do again.

And our students? They get to be kids. Paper. Pencil. Whiteboards. Real conversations. Real books. Real friendships. The kind of school so many of us grew up with in the 80’s and 90’s.
Today our parents and students spoiled us with gifts, an amazing lunch, and even a teacher awards ceremony. I don’t think people fully understand how rare this kind of community is. CFA is not just a school. It’s family. Kind, loving, supportive, God-centered family.

And I will never stop being thankful that God trusted me with this little dream. ❤️
