Our 8th graders enjoyed their on-campus retreat with the John Carroll Campus Ministry team. Teens got to go to Confession, celebrate Mass, participate in Adoration, have small group discussions, and play games. It was a day of faith, fellowship, and fun. 🕊️

🏐 Toy Bowl Volleyball is underway! 🏐

The volleyball season is officially in full swing, with our 1st–6th grade Knights taking the court against Catholic schools from across the Diocese of Birmingham. Some games are here at home, and others have us heading out to meet our friends on their home courts.

We love seeing our students compete, make new friends, cheer each other on, and represent POP wherever they play. ✝️🕊️🤍

Here’s to a great Toy Bowl season across the Diocese! Go Knights! ⚔️🏐

Yesterday was a beautiful day of formation, learning, and growing together at JCCHS. Our POP teachers stepped out of the classroom for a day of personal and professional development, and several of our own teachers had the opportunity to lead breakout sessions and share their knowledge with fellow educators.

We’re also proud of our Aspiring Leaders—Mrs. Kelly Smith, Mrs. Katherine Madonia, Mrs. Bethany Douglass, and Mrs. Rachel Barranco—who represented POP through the Diocese of Birmingham’s Aligning for Success program, investing in their own growth as future leaders in Catholic education.

And there was even more to celebrate: POP was awarded a Faith in Education Grant, which will support the growth and expansion of our SALT program. ✝️

Formation is about continuing to grow in faith, knowledge, and purpose—and yesterday was a beautiful reminder that when our teachers grow, our entire school grows with them. What a blessing!

Our preschoolers and second graders had a special treat 🌿 The AgriPlex of North Alabama came all the way from Cullman to share a fun, hands-on presentation about nature. So many curious questions, big smiles, and new things to discover! 💚 We are so grateful for our friends at North Alabama Agriplex 💚

Such a beautiful way to begin our SALT program yesterday—on the birthday of our Blessed Mother! 💙 What a special blessing for our little ones in 4K and Kindergarten as they begin this journey of learning to pray, grow in faith, and draw closer to Jesus. We couldn’t think of a more beautiful day to begin. Happy birthday, Mary! 🌸🙏🏼
