Did you know that Texas School Districts must screen all Kinder students for dyslexia by the end of the school year??
For 1st grade students, school districts must again screen for dyslexia and the deadline for this screener is January 31st!

This includes ALL public school students in Kinder & 1st.....not just students who are struggling....EVERY child.

Email your DIstricts (so that it's in writing) and find out if your child's been screened! Early detection is key!!!

Many parents have recently informed me that they've been told that their child has to wait until 2nd or 3rd grade for these screeners.....this is NOT the case. Click the link below and find out for yourself!

Hi! I am new to the Advocate world, but I'm not new to dyslexia! I have learned a lot from my boys and their struggle with dyslexia. I've been through 4 due process without a lawyer!
