We still have a few spots available for our Junior Guard and Instructor Camp. Kids will get to work alongside our HRVPRD lifeguards and learn about first aid, CPR/AED and instructing swim lessons. This will be a one-week course starting July 18th - 22nd for Session 1 and August 15th – 19th for Session 2 from 11am - 2pm.

Pre-requisites for the kiddos:
11-14 years of age
Must be able to swim one pool length and attempt freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke
Tread water for one minute
Swim underwater for 10 yards

The latest school board task was a virtual training moderated by the OREGON SCHOOL BOARD ASSOCIATION. I am proud to represent the community of HR VALLEY and give insight to the board having taught Secondary Phys Ed, Health Creers and Soorts Medicine grades 9-12.

Attended a work session for nearly 5 hours followed by a regular School Board meeting that was well attended by a dozen folks.
The board passed the Strategic Plan.
