Today, I pause to honor the birth of Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop.
As an alumnus of Kamehameha Schools, I am a direct beneficiary of her incredible foresight and generosity. She didn’t just leave behind an estate; she left behind a future for her people.
Now, as a businessman in Hawaiʻi, her legacy serves as my professional compass. Pauahi taught me that:
Business is about stewardship: We have a responsibility to manage our resources for the common good.
Impact must be global: While her heart was for Hawaiʻi, her model of philanthropy inspires the entire world.
I am proud to be a "Product of Pauahi," and I am committed to ensuring that my work reflects the values of leadership and service she embodied.
