As 21st century kānaka ‘ōiwi, we are forever indebted by the legacy of our beloved Ke Ali‘i Pauahi. Across Kō Hawaiʻi Pae ʻĀina to distant lands, we continue to learn and grow as we strive to become a stronger lāhui. Today, as we celebrate the 101st Hoʻolauleʻa at Bishop Museum, we have haumāna who are representing us out in the community. From athletics to academics, know that as you each pursue your passions, we are extremely proud of you. A special shoutout goes to our Honors Science haumāna Mika, Justice, Maliaayu, Genevieve, Kalei (L-R) who are competing on the continent. Hulō!
On the eve of the 101st Hoʻolauleʻa, we’d like to begin by saying mahalo.
Ola Pauahi, Ola Hawaiʻi
Speaking of former KS Kapālama graduates, we are grateful to have Mele Apana back on stage to help us set the mood and keep tempo.

Ke Aliʻi Pauahi’s love is unmatched, but yet we try. For a moment, our parent volunteers, who are KS Kapālama alumni, came out from behind the scenes and stepped into the spotlight to speak all things Hoʻolauleʻa with their former classmate.
