At Home with Mindy

In just a few short weeks, we will know where we are headed. I am so looking forward to opening my home back up to littles!

We are almost to the halfway mark in our Hawaii tour. That means we are one day closer to At Home With Mindy reopening in our new home! I am not ready to announce that just yet, as things can change, but stay tuned. :)

I have not checked in in quite a while, however, I wanted to update and say that after a lot of frustration and consideration, I decided to not pursue a childcare license here in Hawaii. I miss doing childcare so much, that sometimes I second- guess my decision, but ultimately, the background process was so slow that I could not continue to live in limbo. I am also enjoying schooling my children at home and the time I am able to spend with them. Knowing our family will be moving on in a couple years has me excited and wondering where I will open my door next. Much Aloha to all of you! 😊

I am ready to get back to work! I am still waiting on background checks to come thru. Hopefully soon!

We have been in Honolulu for three weeks now and are getting settled in. With that, I have also officially begun the process of becoming licensed here. More updates to come!

At Home with Mindy will be relocating in November out of state, as I go where my husband's job takes us. Date of official closure in this home has yet to be determined, as there are several factors in play. I am so sad to leave. I love all my kids and their families. Thank you all for 6 1/2 awesome years with your kids here in AK!

Effective today, I have no permanent slots available in my home. My family and I (along with my facility) will be relocating out of state at the end of the year. I am, however, still available for short-term shift care (evenings and weekends) and drop-in/hourly care during the week. If you have any questions, please message me. Thank you!

Today, we are having a day of fun for a special little girl who is celebrating her 3rd birthday! We are celebrating with some of her very favorite things: playtime at the Mac Center, crafts, and a special treat for lunch.

Enjoyed the fresh snowfall with the kids today. The excitement on their faces was priceless!

Brainy Kit curriculum is our most recent addition. The kids love the very hands on, sensory, science themed materials. We will be doing activities on Tuesday and Thursdays from the kits.
