Aloha! The HPU International Club will strive to promote global friendship and understanding through fun social and cultural activities.
The International Club believes that providing students with the opportunity to create lasting connections with international students from all over the world will enhance, give an understanding, and appreciation of the cultural diversity at HPU. The IC will strive to convince students to be more adventurous by stepping outside of their comfort zones of their own cultures to partake in social cul
tural activities offered by the IC to build lifetime friendships, celebrate HPU’s cultural diversity, and make the most out of their time at HPU. The IC will host engaging social and cultural activities, possible themes include Hawaiian Night, Latin Night, Asia and the Pacific Night, USA Night, Middle Eastern Night, and many others. The club will be student led with voluntarily participation to share a student’s individual culture as well as partake in the celebrations of other cultures. The IC will focus on the cultures that are involved in the IC as well as HPU by providing insight on the similarities in our cultures as well as explore our cultural differences and embrace other cultures’ perceptions of reality. The exploration of cultures will include subjects such as language, traditions, perceptions, food, education, religion, and much more. The IC also plans to host Professor discussions about International issues that are relevant to students lives and will promote global education and awareness on important issues.
“The International Club will be the bridge which binds Mainland, local, and international students together.”
