This project is created and conducted by student researcher Jannah Lyn Dela Cruz, from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa. The purpose of this project is to explore the level of civic engagement and knowledge of Oahu young adults and teens relating to local governing legislative bodies (the Hawaii State Senate, House, and Honolulu City Council) and their legislative processes. This survey will contribute to research that will inform the development of education, resources, action plans, and/or strategies to increase the voices and representation of young adults & teens in the legislative processes of local governments. Confidentiality and Privacy:
I will not ask you for any personal information, such as your name or address. Please do not include any personal information in your survey responses. Questions:

Calling Oahu millennials and Gen Z’rs: Are we speaking up?

Aloha, my name is Jannah Dela Cruz, and I’m a former student government President at UH Mānoa. I want to know how engaged our generation is with our local governments here on Oahu, and how to improve that for the benefit of our future. To help me with this journey, I have some questions for you!

The key to OUR future is to raise the voices of current young adults and teens on any matter to our lawmakers. I am conducting a short survey sponsored by .uhm that is meant to contribute towards research and efforts that can improve that.
