Yesterday ARCHANGEL AIRBORNE was rewarded for our longstanding commitment to brothers and sisters in desperate need in Haiti. Huge news: a family foundation notified us that they will contribute the financial support necessary to help build a combination classroom/medical exam facility at the site of our modular clinic in Cap Haitien (pictured). This news arrived on the Feast day of the ARCHANGELS --Sept 29th. Coincidence? Yes! Accident? No!

At a time when we are so DIVIDED, it may help to consider that Archangels are a symbol that appear in all three major faith traditions (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity). Our co-founder Stu Hirsch put "Archangel" in the organization's name for their capacity to UNIFY. Angels aren't fairies with wings, they are eternal spiritual truths that occasionally break into history. An angel is a 'doing' not a 'being.' Anyone can be an angel. But you don't have to believe in angels to be on the ARCHANGEL AIRBORNE team. You just have to want to affirm human dignity, and alleviate suffering. When we do that, two realms COINCIDE.

OFF THE COAST OF FL

Mission AA006 to Haiti (pre-planned before missions 7,8, and 9 to the NJ shore area) launched today. Here is a view of an incredible sky over the northern coast of Florida enroute to our forward operating base in Fort Pierce. On this day, the team wishes to thank all veterans for their service to the United States of America and their sacrifices for others. One ARTCC Controller said it best to us in a radio transmission as we descended through this sky, "Happy Veteran's Day...Ooh Rah!" to which we replied, "Roger that...Ooh Rah!"

Republic used turbochargers to give the P-47 extra boost at higher altitudes, above 20,000ft where the R-2800 started to struggle in the thinner air. Technically, it's a turbo-supercharger, pressure from the exhaust gases spin the turbo which in turn spins the mechanical supercharger.
