SENIOR SPOTLIGHT- Julie Saylor

Julie Saylor is the daughter of Jason and Christine Saylor. Julie has been a member of the Honesdale high school girls varsity golf team since your freshman year. She has earned Lackawanna’s All-Star player of the season in her junior year along with coming in 3rd place for the Anne Simons tournament, and coming in first place for the commissioner’s cup sophomore and junior year. Julie first picked up a golf club at 12 years old that began as a fun family activity that has turned into a passion for the game.

After graduation, Julie would like to attend Northampton community college to pursue a associates degree in medical lab technician then go into a program for a Histotechnology. She also plans on playing for Northampton’s girls golf team. Julie would like to thank her coaches and teammates for the support throughout the years most importantly, Julie sends her thank yous to her family especially her dad and grandfather for all the tips, tricks, and encouragement for the love of the game.

SENIOR SPOTLIGHT- Trevan Dahlgren

Trevan Dahlgren is the son of Kristin and Michael Dahlgren. A dedicated athlete, Trevan has been a standout member of the Honesdale High School varsity golf team for four years and proudly serves as a tri-captain for the 2026 season.

Golf has become one of his greatest passions, alongside his love for basketball and the great outdoors. Whether he is competing on the golf course, playing on the court, or exploring nature, Trevan thrives on staying active, challenging himself, and making the most of his time away from school with friends.Throughout his high school career, Trevan has dedicated countless hours to sharpening his game and competing alongside his teammates. As a captain, he takes immense pride in lifting up his team and fostering a positive, competitive team environment.

Following graduation, Trevan plans to attend a four-year college to continue both his academic pursuits and his competitive golf career.Trevan would like to extend a special thank you to Coach Miller and Coach Hopkins for teaching him not only the game of golf, but the true meaning of golf etiquette. He would also like to thank his family, friends, and teammates for their continued love, support, and encouragement.
