Please read the above link. I'm hoping this reaches adults, teachers , professors, TAs, lab assistants, librarians who are actually in the classroom to see the negative impacts that smartphones have on a daily basis. Leaders need to think about an outright ban before the next school year starts in my opinion. There's lots of data on this and I see no reason children need smartphones and schools. I only see negative impacts as an educator for the last 45 years. We also need parents help as so many actually text and call their children during instructional time. I can't tell you how many times this has happened!

This is one area I support Governor Hochel. I strongly believe that bipartisan support once legislators are educated will happen.

Local eclipse task forces in many of the 13 states in the path of totality have spent years planning activities and organizing viewing opportunities, including Rochester, New York, where some communities will experience a full three minutes and 38 seconds of totality. Thrilled to be presenting at this semi annual training conference for government officials and employees on Nov. 9 at Wayne Finger Lakes BOCES. Green initiatives and smart practices. I will also be attending other sessions to enhance my skillsets and learn more from other professionals. Registration closes Wed. Nov. 2nd.
