We had a wonderful visit from Dr. Henderson and her assistant, Brea, today! Four horses were treated by chiropractic care. My buddy, Leo, is not impressed by vets but he definitely doesn’t mind Dr. Henderson working on him. 😁

We had quite the day here today. Proctor Enterprises reroofed our house, hay shed and fixed a few spots on our indoor arena roof. I cannot say enough good things about them! They were professional and courteous and got everything done in one day, which was amazing. There were about 15 to 20 people working on the property.  I highly recommend them! The horses and feral cats, however, were not so sure about the racket. The horses made sure they were as far away from the noisy affair as possible. Except Roman. He hung out at the fence line watching the goings on. I don’t think I saw any of the feral cats until late in the day after their super early morning feeding.

Here is my beautiful friend, Roman. He is somewhere in his mid 20s and was rescued from an auction by one of my boarders. I’m not sure if he was in the kill pen or not, but he was definitely very skinny when she brought him home. I believe he had been an Amish cart horse. Somewhere along the way in his life, he decided he didn’t like crowds of horses. He does well in the herd because he can space himself. His best friend, Max, often grazes alongside him.  Because I know he doesn’t like being crowded by other horses, my staff and I walk him in separate when it is feeding time.  Here he is coming for dinner tonight.
