Please remember to let us know if you plan on coming to allow for adequate arrangements.

As many of you have heard, the New World screwworm has recently been detected in Edwards, Gillespie, La Salle, and Zavala counties. Given these developments, we want to provide producers with the latest information on both the New World screwworm and the pasture mealybug. Both pose threats-one to warm-blooded animals such as livestock, wildlife, and companion animals and the other to forage production and native grasses.

To address these timely concerns, we have updated the agenda for our June 23 Protecting Herd Profitability Workshop. The program will still offer CEUs and will now focus on current information, potential impacts, and management strategies related to these emerging issues.
Thanks to the generous support of Medina County Farm Bureau and Capital Farm Credit, this program is now FREE to attend. Refreshments will be available throughout the program.

Please let us know if you plan to attend by calling our office at 830-741-6180 so we can ensure adequate seating and refreshments.
We look forward to seeing you on June 23.
