What an incredible and memorable moment! ✨

Principal Southall-Mason and I had the honor of being invited to Birmingham City Hall by Councilman Josh Vasa to recognize and celebrate the Glen Dance Gators and their outstanding achievements over the past 10 years!

I am truly grateful to Councilman Vasa for his continued dedication to our community and for recognizing the hard work, talent, and accomplishments of our scholars at Glen Iris Elementary School.

A very special thank you to Principal Southall-Mason for your unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in our dance program and our students. Your leadership has helped create opportunities for our scholars to dream bigger, work harder, and shine brighter.

Ten years of dedication. Ten years of accomplishments. Ten years of making a difference—and we’re just getting started! 💚🐊✨

Proud Dance Teacher Moment ✨

Back in May, Karar Performing Arts had the incredible honor of being invited to perform at Alabama State University’s Dance Day after connecting with the Head of the Dance Department, Mr. Atkinson.

As a result of that opportunity, two of our amazing dancers, Melanie and Cassidy, were invited to attend the ASU Summer Dance Intensive. They absolutely exceeded every expectation! As a high school freshman and sophomore, they confidently held their own alongside college dancers, demonstrating not only their talent but their dedication, discipline, and passion for dance.

Watching them grow has been one of my proudest moments as a dance teacher. This is only the beginning of their journey. We will be back next year, and every year after that, continuing to work toward one goal—that dance scholarship.

Dream big. Work hard. Stay humble. Your moment is coming. 💛🖤
