🎊 Celebrating my 1️⃣0️⃣ year sobriety journey!!

10 years ago, l made the decision to remove one of the biggest hindrances to my goals and becoming the women God meant for me to be.

I got closer to God. No longer being emotionally reactive to things that have happened to me.

Y'all my emotions kept me in a chokehold.

But after making this decision, my life has never been the same since.

I worked to
⚜️ Get over past pain & resentments
⚜️ Unlearn unhealthy behaviors
⚜️ Implement better coping skills
⚜️ Took an inventory of how my actions affect others and became a living amends.

I got off the pity pot and into action. I chose to LIVE instead of just SURVIVE.

My story is a living testimony and my work with others as a community advocate is my ministry.

After a long and intense journey of

1️⃣. Group + individual therapy
2️⃣. Learning to value & use a support system
3️⃣. Daily meditation & Journaling
4️⃣. Making amends
5️⃣. Regularly self reflect to see how l have been the author of a lot of my confusion while blaming others.

I learned that I clung to personal and platonic relationships waiting to be saved instead of clinging to God and trusting His power.

Until one day l hit bottom. Then I was ready to take the suggestions and stopped making excuses. I began to heal.

As a direct result..

My business is better, my familial relationships starting healing, my relationship with my husband has flourished, my self worth is realized, my boundaries are set, my future is bright & l no longer live in bo***ge of past trauma and bad choices.
