Homewood Middle School Band

Homewood Middle School Band Our primary goal here at Homewood is to help all students reach their potential as musicians.

This is our motivation for everything we do as a band directors, the basis for all information contained in this handbook, and the reason we became music teach The Homewood Middle School Band program consists of 4 performing ensembles. 6th Grade Beginning Band, 7th Grade Concert Band, 8th Grade Symphonic Band, and the HMS Jazz Band.

Come celebrate Independence Day in Homewood! Join us in Downtown Homewood on July 4th for an evening of family fun, rides, attractions, music, and community spirit. Be on the lookout for some band students and parents working the rides and attractions! The festival kicks off at 5 PM and we will wrap up the night with a front-row view of Birmingham’s iconic Thunder on the Mountain fireworks show at 9 PM! Bring your family, your friends and your red, white, and blue—we’ll see you there! 🇺🇸
