Dives 1 & 2 for Max on Molasses Reef from on board Sea Dwellers Dive Center of Key Largo a couple weeks ago. Conditions were so perfect with about a one foot chop and 100 feet of viz.

From Undercurrent magazine - I saw this for myself diving yesterday... speculation is this was caused by extremely warm water brought in by Hurricane Ian.
It is so sad to see all the "white" coral which stands out tremendously across Molasses Reef.

If man does not interfere, nature can heal itself. This is the perfect example - a coral reef was devastated in 2015 by La Nina, and is perfectly healthy and vibrant again by 2021, in only five years! Read the article - there is HOPE to save the earth and most importantly, its oceans!
Once devastated, these Pacific reefs have seen an amazing rebirth Protected corals around the southern Line Islands have recovered with shocking speed from the heat of the 2015-2016 El Niño.
