Co-Chair: Meredith Peterson

HISTORY:

The Local Task Force (LTF) system was
established in 1972 as part of the Consent

Retarded Citizens. The PARC Consent Decree
guaranteed a free public program of
education for all school-aged persons with intellectual disability or thought-to-have intellectual dis

ability regardless of their intellectual functioning. MEETING SCHEDULE

Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every
month at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit offices at the Waterfront in Homestead from 6:30 till 8:30 p.m. We have no meetings in July & August. Parents and interested parties have a welcome place at our meetings with concerns and/or topics about Special Education in your School District. You can also call the "Parent Assistance Line" at 412-394-5930 if you have any questions or need assistance with a Special Education issue regarding your child. Your involvement helps assure the students' right to a free and appropriate education.

Are you able to use your ODP Waiver Funding? The Arc of Pennsylvania wants to learn if you are able, or how much you can use your waiver funding. We are looking for information from Pennsylvanians with disabilities (and their family members) who are currently enrolled in one of the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) waivers that supports mostly people who have a diagnosis of autism and/or intellectual disability (Consolidated, Community Living and Person/Family Directed Support). Please visit our website https://thearcpa.org/survey/ or scan the QR code to participate.
