Awards Day 2026! We had a great time celebrating all of our students’ hard work! Thank you to all of our parents and teachers who showed up to support our students. We are so proud of each and every one of them and all they have accomplished this year! 🎉💙

The SOUL Class had an amazing time on our end-of-the-year trip to Fancy Girl Farms! 🌿💛

This special trip was a way to celebrate all of the hard work, growth, and accomplishments our students have achieved this year. Students enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal and explored the beautiful gardens.

During lunch, students practiced table etiquette and communication skills by ordering their own meals independently, a huge accomplishment and great real-world practice! We were so proud of how respectful and responsible they were throughout the trip.

This has become one of our favorite traditions to end the school year, and we are so thankful for the memories made together. We are so proud of each and every one of our Outstanding Learners! 💚🌻

Such a wonderful day last Friday exploring downtown Homerville! Last week, our class learned about important community places and what we do at each one and then we got to visit them in person. It was such a meaningful, hands-on experience for our students, and they loved seeing their learning come to life!

We visited several locations including the banks, post office, courthouse, hospital, doctors’ offices, the depot, and more.

Thank you to each of the businesses and community members for allowing us to come in and explore! We truly appreciate your support!

It’s testing season, which means our students need a strong start to the day! Students created their very own breakfast bowls by following step-by-step directions. They chose their own toppings and learned the importance of eating a healthy breakfast to fuel their minds and bodies for testing. 🥣✨

Classroom Easter egg hunt fun! 🐣 Most everyone found a prize egg and got to enjoy ice cream at lunch!!

We had a blast on our trip to Southern Grace Farms in Enigma! 🍓 Students got to pick fresh strawberries and learn all about how they’re grown and make their way into stores. They even planted their own sunflower! 🌻

After all that fun, we enjoyed some delicious strawberry ice cream before heading into the kitchen to put our strawberries to good use. We made strawberry banana pudding, strawberry shakes, and a strawberry cake, everything turned out so yummy!

The SOUL class has been busy learning in our new Life Science unit! 🌱 We have been studying plants, including the parts of a plant, the life cycle, photosynthesis, and the food chain.

Yesterday, students planted their own flowers by following a step-by-step “How to Plant a Flower” checklist. Today, they created their own posters identifying each part of a plant.

This was the perfect activity just in time for spring, and we can’t wait to watch our flowers grow! 🌼

Valentine’s Day in the SOUL class was so much fun! ❤️
Our students planned and cooked all of our party treats themselves ham and cheese sliders, Jayvyn’s homemade ranch dip, Indigo’s chocolate cake, and chocolate-covered strawberries. They worked so hard and everything turned out delicious!
We had the best time celebrating together and I am so proud of them! 💕

Last week, our SOUL students took a trip to Valdosta where they were given a budget and picked a name to shop for a gift for another classmate. Through this experience, students learned the true meaning of giving and what it looks like to think about someone other than yourself. 🤍

Yesterday at our Christmas party, SOUL students opened gifts that were thoughtfully picked out just for them by a fellow classmate. This is one of our favorite events of the year, and we absolutely love seeing our students come together and show so much kindness and joy. 🎄✨

Last Thursday, the SOUL class celebrated our annual Thanksgiving Feast, and it was truly one of the highlights of our school year! 🧡🦃

This feast is extra special because every student plays a part. Thanks to Moore Farms, we had fresh vegetables to cook with, and each student brought a dish of their choice following a recipe and preparing it themselves! They even came up with our Thanksgiving menu and everyone contributed in their own way. The smiles on their faces say it all! 😊

To make the day even better, each student invited a friend or teacher to join our meal, making it feel even more like family.
