Did we mention we have plenty of FFA accomplishments to celebrate? Here’s another shoutout for Banks County High School!

Congratulations to BCHS FFA’s Senior Land Evaluation team for earning FIRST PLACE and the Junior Land Evaluation team for earning SECOND PLACE in their respective Career Development Events. Both teams qualified for state competition!

We proudly recognize Cate Gilbert, Wayne Holcombe, Kate Grier, Leia Pruitt, Trey Murphy, Wade Dalton, Carson Holloway, Parker Sims, and Jennings Patrick, along with FFA advisor Chris Crump.

“The time and effort spent studying and practicing for this event were evident,” shared Amanda Keener, North Georgia Forestry Teacher. “I am very proud of the teachers and students who worked hard to demonstrate the knowledge and skills learned in this particular area of Agricultural Education.”

Thank you to Mr. Crump for his dedication to students and to our school leaders for supporting these opportunities.

It may be fall break, but our students continue making their programs—and Banks County Schools—shine! We have plenty to celebrate from our high school and middle school FFA programs, so stay tuned for several shoutouts. First up is Banks County High School!

Congratulations to BCHS FFA’s Junior and Senior teams for BOTH earning FIRST PLACE in the Environmental Natural Resources (ENR) Career Development Event!

We proudly recognize Cate Gilbert, Wayne Holcombe, Aubrey McClure, Trey Murphy, Wade Dalton, Gauge English, Parker Sims, and Colton Hodges, along with FFA advisor Kipp Jackson.

Let's Go Lady Leopards!! Region Champs Again!!

It’s fall break, but our Lady Leopards are keeping the momentum going with a championship win!

Introducing your 2026 Region 8AA Fast Pitch Softball REGION CHAMPS—the Banks County Lady Leopards!

After trailing 6–0, these determined athletes battled back to force extra innings against Prince Avenue. Tuesday’s game was suspended due to darkness, sending our team back today with an 11–8 lead in the bottom of the eighth, bases loaded and no outs. In approximately six minutes, they secured an 11–9 victory and the region title!

Congratulations, ladies and coaches!

The first round of state playoffs will be Monday at BCHS on Mike Gordon Field. Game time is to be determined. Tickets will be available through GoFan only, and only GHSA passes will be accepted.

Let’s pack the stands and cheer on our Lady Leopards!
