The PSAT will be given at Banks County High School on October 22, 2026.

Freshmen: $18, cash only
Sophomores: FREE
Juniors: $18, cash only

Sign-up forms are available in the BCHS Front Office.

Registration deadline: September 4, 2026.

Please note: Sophomores who sign up but do not take the test will be charged a no-show fee.

Take advantage of this opportunity to prepare for future college entrance exams and, for eligible students, compete for National Merit Scholarship recognition.

Homecoming 2026 is going NEON!

Banks County High School students, get ready for NEON NIGHTS on Saturday, September 19 at 7:00 PM!

Tickets are $20.

Out-of-town guest forms are available in the front office and 9th grade office and are due September 10. All guests must be in high school or under 21. No middle school guests are allowed.

We are excited to announce that our Afterschool Program is officially underway.

Bus transportation will be provided following each session.

Drop-off locations and estimated arrival times include the Maysville Gazebo near the railroad tracks at 5:15 PM, the Howard Johnson Hotel at 5:30 PM, the Dollar General on Harmony Church Road at 5:45 PM, and the Alto CH Church at 6:00 PM.

To participate, families must complete the Afterschool Program Information and Application form. Please turn in completed application forms to your advisor or the main office to reserve a spot.

Let's Go Taylor!! We are so proud of you!

BIG NEWS FOR BANKS COUNTY SCHOOLS!

Taylor Cheek, a super senior at BCHS, is taking center stage in New York City! Taylor and his prom date, Chelsea Branam (who flew in from Montana ), have been selected to be featured in the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) annual Times Square Video Presentation.

Out of more than 2,700 entries worldwide, their prom photo was chosen to appear on two massive Jumbotron screens in Father Duffy Square in the heart of NYC on Saturday, September 12.

Taylor's mom, Sara Cheek, shared her excitement about this huge milestone:

"We’re so excited to share that Taylor and Chelsea’s prom photo was selected to be featured in Times Square for the NDSS Buddy Walk! What an honor! Taylor‘s bucket list trip has always been NYC, and I can’t think of a better reason to go."

The one-hour presentation highlights individuals with Down syndrome from all 50 states and 12 countries to kick off the flagship NYC Buddy Walk®.

How to Watch: Tune in to the livestream on the NDSS page on Saturday, September 12, from 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM ET.
