Kickstands Up: 10:00 AM

It only takes a few seconds to put on your seat belt, but those few seconds can make a life-saving difference.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 9,758 passenger-vehicle occupants were killed in crashes in 2024 while not wearing a seat belt. That means an unbelted passenger-vehicle occupant was killed approximately every 54 minutes.

In Georgia, seat belt use among observed drivers and front-seat passengers was 88.8% in 2024. But in 2023, 38.7% of fatally injured front-seat passenger-vehicle occupants age 13 and older were unrestrained.

Seat belts aren't just about avoiding a ticket, they're about giving yourself the best chance of surviving a crash. NHTSA says wearing a seat belt cuts your risk of a fatal injury in a crash nearly in half.

🎃👻 A Special Trick-or-Treat Just for Our Special Needs Kids! 🍬🧡

Banks County Pathways is excited to host a special trick-or-treat experience created especially for children with special needs and their families.

We know that traditional Halloween activities can sometimes feel a little overwhelming — lots of noise, crowds, lights, and activity. So we’re creating a calmer, more comfortable and welcoming environment where our kids can enjoy the fun of trick-or-treating at their own pace. 🧡

No pressure. No big crowds. Just costumes, treats, smiles, and a whole lot of fun! (No scary costumes, please) 🎃🍭

This event is specifically for our special needs children and their families so that we can keep the experience smaller, quieter, and sensory-friendly.

We will be set up on the lawn in front of the Pathways building! 🧡
