ILLINOIS Senate:
Illinois
Public Act 104-0047 amends the School Code to ensure parents and guardians are informed of their right to bring advocates, experts, or support persons to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.

Beyond just bringing an advocate, the law promotes “IEP Facilitation,” a dispute resolution. The change includes bringing an advocate which was not previously mentioned.

🚍🛑 It’s National School Bus Safety Week! 🛑🚍

This week, we’re reminding everyone to slow down, stay alert, and put safety first around school buses and in school zones.

✅ Stop for flashing red lights and extended stop arms — it’s the law.
✅ Never pass a bus loading or unloading children.
✅ Stay alert at dawn and dusk when visibility is reduced.
✅ Remind kids to look both ways before crossing the street.

Our children’s safety depends on all of us working together. Let’s make every stop a safe one! 💛
