We’re Ready to Welcome Our Dolphins Back! 🎉🐬💙

Today, we celebrated as One Team at Convocation, and this afternoon we continued the excitement at our Family Welcome Back Event!

Our team is ready, energized, and excited for another amazing school year! We can’t wait to welcome our 1st–5th grade students on Monday, August 24, followed by our youngest learners, Pre-K and Kindergarten, on Wednesday, August 26. 📚✏️

Here’s to a wonderful new school year filled with learning, connection, growth, and lots of Dolphin pride! 🐬💙

Hoy celebramos como Un Solo Equipo durante nuestra Convocatoria, y esta tarde continuamos la celebración con nuestro Evento Familiar de Bienvenida!

¡Nuestro equipo está listo, lleno de energía y muy emocionado por comenzar otro año escolar increíble! Estamos deseando recibir a nuestros estudiantes de primer grado a quinto grado (1-5) el Lunes 24 de Agosto, y luego a nuestros estudiantes más pequeños de Pre-Kínder y Kínder el Miércoles 26 de Agosto.

Last week our Student Council had an incredible opportunity to visit City Hall and meet with Mayor Joshua Garcia and City Councilor At-Large Israel Rivera! Our Dolphins asked thoughtful questions about city government, local parks, and ways they can become more involved in their community as student leaders.

We are grateful to Mayor Garcia for taking the time to meet with our students and to Councilor Rivera for providing an informative tour of City Hall. A special thank you as well to Stephen Fay for helping make this meaningful experience possible.

We are proud of our Dolphins for their curiosity, leadership, and commitment to making a positive impact in our community! 🐬💙



¡La semana pasada, nuestro Consejo Estudiantil tuvo la increíble oportunidad de visitar el Ayuntamiento y reunirse con el alcalde Joshua García y el concejal general Israel Rivera! Nuestros Dolphins plantearon preguntas muy interesantes sobre el gobierno municipal, los parques locales y las formas en que pueden implicarse más en su comunidad como líderes estudiantiles.

Agradecemos al alcalde García por dedicar su tiempo a reunirse con nuestros estudiantes y al concejal Rivera por ofrecernos una visita guiada muy informativa por el Ayuntamiento. También queremos dar las gracias especialmente a Stephen Fay por ayudarnos a hacer posible esta experiencia tan significativa.

¡Estamos orgullosos de nuestros Dolphins por su curiosidad, liderazgo y compromiso para generar un impacto positivo en nuestra comunidad! 🐬💙

This week our Girls On The Run worked on their Community Impact Project. CIP provides an opportunity for the team to use the GOTR tools they learned this season to make a difference in their community. Our Donahue Dolphins decided to clean the back field of our school. Not only for our practices but also this is the field our students are using for Field Day and the community uses for soccer. The girls wanted to give back in a meaningful way and surely made a difference! We want to give a huge shoutout to OneHolyoke CDC for donating the cleanup supplies to make this project come to fruition.

Esta semana, nuestro grupo de Girls On The Run trabajó en su Proyecto de Impacto Comunitario. El CIP brinda al equipo la oportunidad de utilizar las herramientas de GOTR que aprendieron durante esta temporada para marcar la diferencia en su comunidad. Nuestras Donahue Dolphins decidieron limpiar el campo atras de nuestra escuela. No solo lo hicieron pensando en nuestros entrenamientos, sino también porque este es el campo que nuestros estudiantes utilizan para Field Day y que la comunidad usa para jugar fútbol. Las chicas querían retribuir a la comunidad de una manera significativa, y sin duda lograron marcar la diferencia! Queremos enviar un enorme agradecimiento a OneHolyoke CDC por donar los materiales de limpieza que hicieron posible la realización de este proyecto.
