What’s more magical than MASS MoCA??

Jorge, our partner at Treehouse Foundation for our Truth Tellers Theater Ensemble, made it possible for some of us to experience the magic and art on display as well as the interactive art that truly captivated us. It was such a beautiful time!!!!

Let’s just say, it inspired us to want to create our very own exhibit 👀 who knows what the future holds as we all know; art has no barriers 🤫

We look forward to our next adventure together and who wil be joining us this year for the Truth Tellers Theater Ensemble 26-27!!

Ashley here, saying hello and sending love to you all on this beautiful Thursday we are all blessed to expereince.

Today, I wanted to take a moment to not only say thank you, but I love you to Priscilla Kane Hellweg. If you have worked with her, have a memory or picture you'd like to share, drop it in the comments, as we all have so many and I would love to see them 🙂

Lyndsey Nunes once said during her WWLP Remarkable Woman interview, "I always think of her like a pebble. She is that pebble that we drop in the pond and you just see the ripples all of those ripples are touching people and that’s her"

This couldn't be more true or better said. Anything that Priscilla touches or oversees has a ripple effect. Priscilla teaches and then those people practice her "Arts Integrated" models and teaching approach with their teachers, students and families, then they show their friends and family and before you know it, an entire network or community has been touched by the intentional work she does, the work she is teaching others to not just learn but embody. Priscilla has been sprinkling magic for over 40 years, in every place she enters, she leaves an imprint to be casted for the years to come. I am one of those people you have impacted and changed FOREVER!! I couldn't be more thankful and appreciative, cheers to all the memories created, and the ones to come!!

Being a “Truth Teller” isn’t simply performing (I mean of course it is on stage) however, we are sharing our stories and using creativity to perform them in a way that will be received and hopefully inspire action to create change.

Being a “Truth Teller” is STANDING for something bigger than you, its connecting with those who have experienced similar circumstances and with those who want to change those circumstances for others, even if they have not experienced it themselves.

Today, Arts Integration Studio asks you:

What is it that you stand for?

What is it that you fight for?

What change do you want to create?

What is your story and how will you rewrite it for those that will after you?

Ashley here-All of our Truth Tellers absolutely rocked the stage/room/mic today 🎤

Today, all of our hard work shined through as we performed “Honesty: Even When It’s Hard” for the DCF Springfield Area Office!! We love being in spaces with people who have the power to change lives, to feel supported and heard by one another. We are thankful for what we do and allowing the voices of our youth, peers and elders to be heard and felt. Thank you to everyone who came to see us in actions 🫶
