Hours: May be adjusted to family needs. Currently our families need us from 7:15am-5:00pm. Please specify hours needed when inquiring. What we have to offer:

n/Veteran Family Owned with Christian activities included in our daily routine. Age Specific Environments: We have 2 Programs. One is set up for infants and toddlers, freeing up our 2nd program for children almost 2 and older. This gives us the ability to do more one on one activities with both age groups. Affordable Rates: Rates are discounted as children age up in our programs. We also offer low rates for school age and children attending half day preschool or attending daycare half day for socializing. Child Care Options We offer:
Infants 0-11 months (Attends at First Steps)
YoungToddlers: 11months to 18 months (Attends at First Steps)
Older Toddlers: 18 months to 29 months (May attend either program)
Preschool Care (2 1/2 years to 5 Attends Next Steps) Full day or half day available. School Age Before and/or After school care, Non school days, & Summer Care. We offer

Multiple Providers on Staff to avoid provider burnout

Dependable Care. Holiday/Paid Closings are set annually, so families know what to plan for. It is very rare that our programs close unexpectedly as we have staff to cover provider absences. Experienced Providers Owner/Director/Provider: Connie Ramirez has over 21 years experience in child care/educational settings, 2 other long time Providers with over 5 years experience each. Structured Environment with a set daily Routine and planned activities & special events

Fun, Engaging, environment with interactive Learning through play & planned curriculum: Math/Science/Social/Emotional/ Language Arts/Music/Physical/Self-help/Music/Art & Technology Activities mixed into our daily routine to foster natural learning and child development through free play and teacher instructed activities. Highly Qualified Staff: Well trained with annual training based on each provider’s need for continued education. Healthy/Active Lifestyle Encouraged. We serve nutritious whole grains & fresh meats and produce daily. Active play is scheduled into our daily routine with our indoor and outdoor play. Outdoor play daily (weather permitting) on our large rubber mulched/matted playground

Brightwheel software is used to keep families up to date on their child’s daily activities and offers online payment options and reports. Parent involvement is encouraged

Family get togethers/parties are organized annually

I just closed out our 2025 records. We were blessed to provide services for 53 children total. Numbers are high because that’s really 2 different “school years” so several kids ended care in may and new ones started. It’s also for both of our programs combined and some of these kids only came 1 day for the whole year, or just a few days as drop in when families needed a back up, but I still feel so blessed to have been trusted to provide care for so many kids in our community. Thank you to all of our kids’ parents/grandparents who have used our services. It has been a joy to get to know your little ones. God bless you all in 2026!

DAYCARE OPENINGS!
We will have 1 Full Time Opening for a child 10 months or older with a start date of August 13th or August 18th.

Please message here, or call or text Connie at 785-364-6960 to set up a parent interview. Children under 2 may attend our Early Learners First Steps location. Children close to 2 or older will attend our Early Learners Next Steps location.
We also offer half day care for AM or PM preschoolers. Busses transport to and from school.

Both of our programs offer care from 7:15am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.

We have 2 qualified providers on staff each day. We provide a great learning environment that is set up specifically for the development of the kids we currently have enrolled. Our daily routine is designed to include plenty of indoor and outdoor play, daily music, rest time, breakfast, lunch, and snack. Our learning environment creates opportunities for children to explore through their free choice in early learning Art, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, and increase their fine and large motor skills indoors and outdoors.
We provide healthy meals and snacks that include almost all whole grains, fresh produce, and fresh meats.
Program closings are set at enrollment and it is rare for our program to close unexpectedly. Vacations and provider time off outside of our set closing dates are covered by providers on staff.

Our program has been a licensed childcare program for over 21 years.
