5 Minutes Tops A "Shark Tank"-esque competition in which students will prepare and present business ideas to local business owners for a chance to win scholarship money.

5 Minutes Tops was born our of collaboration between a group of great teachers and business owners in Mid-Michigan. It is a shark tank-esque pitch competition for students. The motivation is to inspire our k-12 students in our region to create, innovate, and build a business idea or community service project that can make a positive impact in the Greater Lansing area. In turn they will develop sof

t skills and professionalism that will positively impact their future endeavors. This event has successfully launched scores of student businesses. The competition has grown to include several school districts and youth groups in the greater Lansing area. A Regional 5 Minutes Tops Competition takes place based on student demand; we partner with MSU Innovation to have students out to campuses and offer 10 students an opportunity to pitch their idea with over $3,000 in Scholarship money on the line. 🚀 Exciting news, mid-Michigan! 🌟 The entrepreneurial spirit is buzzing in our high schools, and we can't wait to kick off the 2025 Youth Pitch Competitions! Join us next week at Holt Public Schools on April 16th, followed by Waverly Community Schools and Mason Public Schools on April 23rd.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to share their innovative ideas, hone their presentation skills, and showcase their creativity! 🎤💡 We encourage students, parents, and friends to come out and support our young entrepreneurs. Let's inspire the next generation of leaders and innovators together!
