Little Explorers Child Care in Holt is looking for a part-time Child Care Assistant/Teacher.
WE ARE SEEKING A CANDIDATE FOR THE SUMMER WHO CAN WORK WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY. IDEALLY, THE SAME SUMMER EMPLOYEE CAN CONTINUE INTO THE SCHOOL YEAR.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR CANDIDATE WHO CAN WORK AT LEAST THE ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR.
We are an in home group childcare dedicated to the growth & development of children from infants to 5 years of age. In addition to caring for children’s basic needs & laying a foundation for learning, we also provide a loving home environment where we learn about compassion, courtesy & respect, generosity, honesty, manners, friendliness & LOVE.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, happy, loyal, honest, self motivated, caring and PATIENT.
Skills & Knowledge
• Be warm & loving with a positive attitude and appreciation of children
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Must be flexible & adaptable to meet the needs of the owner, program, children & families in care
• Ability to work respectfully with families from diverse cultural & economic backgrounds
• Ability to engage children in developmentally appropriate ways including addressing children at eye level, sitting with children on the floor & engaging children in play and conversation
• Ability to attend to daily tasks as a caregiver & an educator
Ideal candidate will have experience with children of all ages (actual “home daycare” experience is not required), 17 years or older, possess a high school diploma, dependable transportation, have a totally clean background, be reliable, have a strong interest in child development & learning, able to lift 50lbs, and want to work!
Other requirements will be discussed before interviews begin.
We work around college schedules if possible, hours are 7:00am-5:00pm, pay will be based on education and experience and all training necessary will be provided.
